Mexico City

Mexico City, the largest and most populous city in the Western Hemisphere, is now one of my favorite cities in North America.

With it’s incredible history, great people, even better food and drinks, great public transportation options, and nice weather, Mexico City has everything you’d want in a city.

I’m not naive, I’m aware of the bad rap that Mexico gets with all of the propaganda that we receive in the U.S. about the country, and of course they’ve had/and have issues with crime, however, I felt perfectly safe during my time in Mexico City.

Like any major city, be aware of your surroundings, and stay away from shady areas. Luckily, in the city, I felt comfortable walking around at all hours of the day and night, and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

What impressed me most about Mexico City was that they incorporated a Biophilic Design, throughout. If you don’t know, that just means that they incorporate ‘life’ throughout their city design, and they have trees and plants everywhere you look; the city is absolutely stunning.

While in the city, I stayed in the Roma Norte district, and when I tell you there’s a restaurant and bar/club every few steps, I’m not exaggerating. If you’re into partying, you will not be disappointed. What’s even better is that many of the clubs stayed open until about 5 AM, and I definitely took advantage of that.

If you’ve yet to visit Mexico City, this is your sign to take the trip. Whether you’re into incredible architecture, great food, amazing museums, etc. there’s something for everyone.
