Eiffel Tower in Paris

Completed in 1889, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most popular structures in the world, and the most-visited in Paris. The Tower was designed by the French engineer, Gustave Eiffel, for the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris.

I’ve had the opportunity to visit the Tower twice, and each time I was blown away by the sheer size of it. Pictures do not do it justice, as it’s even more amazing in person. It’s a must see for anyone traveling to Paris.

Here are some of the photos I captured of the Eiffel Tower.

Louvre in Paris

In 1793 AD, the Louvre had its grand opening as a museum, after being a palace since the late 12th century. The Louvre is not only the world’s most visited museum, but also displays over 380,000 objects and 35,000 works of art; including the Mona Lisa.

I’ve been to the Louvre three times now, and still have yet to explore all that the museum has to offer.

From its stunning pyramid, to its lavish architecture, and overwhelming amount of art, this museum is, by far, my favorite.

To avoid some of the lines, purchase your tickets in advance and arrive early. For my last visit, I arrived right before the museum opened in the morning, and still waited in line for about 15 minutes. If you arrive during the afternoon, you will likely wait for over an hour.
